I took a week off from posting, something I’ve never done in four years of blogging, and it was truly refreshing. I love creating delicious stuff for you guys to devour, but I was in a hectic transitional period of life, and decided it was best for you and I both if I minimize my stress. Now I’m ready to get back at it and share with you what I’ve been chowing down on this week.
I did give you one post to drool over: Caprese Triscuit Bites. And you know what? I was making these for a snack for myself all week long with the leftover ingredients.
Amongst the stress of the week, I find solace in sweating and stretching. The Les Mills group fitness classes and every day stretching I do at Powerhouse Gym Utica has made me more flexible than I was when I danced in high school. It’s an amazing feeling to feel like I’ve really gotten somewhere.
Amidst my week of craziness, my boyfriend and I found time to celebrate two years together. As per tradition, we went to our first date spot, Olive Garden.
I love their lasagna fritta. Have you tried it yet? It’s deep-fried lasagna, something you’ve only dreamed about, but never imagined could exist in this world.
Ending our evening with tiramisu from our thoughtful waiter wasn’t half-bad either.
It’s little things like dessert that make every day better. Hello Kitty socks are equally as effective, and even more so if they look like they’re tucked into bed in your shoes.
Cute as Hello Kitty may be, she’ll never compare to this beautiful Mina girl.
Along with beautiful pets, this week was full of beautiful family and food. Mother Cookie, Sister Cookie, and BIL Cookie came for a visit this weekend.
We tried out an Italian Utica restaurant that I’ll review for you this week. Here’s a sneak peek:
How was your week? What did you eat?
